My plans for last night were to meet some friends from church, have dinner and then see a movie. We planned to meet at the Mick's in Decatur around 6:30pm, but we were all running late. The purpose of the night was to discuss the singles group and how we could be more active, grow the group and have a little more structure. Our discussion over dinner was captivating and before we knew it, we missed the movie time.
So, we opted to hit Twain's instead. Along the way we stopped at Javamonkey for coffee. This was a great idea, as that is where the night ended. We never made it to Twain's! Conversation moved from the church group to a more personal talk and really getting to know each other as friends.
I'm very thankful that I had this opportunity because the evening was refreshing and relaxing. Note to self: Coffee, Patio, Friends - put them together and chill!
If you are single, between 21 and 35, check out Clairmont Presbyterian. We are starting to reorganizing the group and I will be helping coordinate some of the social events and would enjoy introducing you to some of the other people in the group. This is kind of a ground floor entry. Don't worry I won't bible thump my friends, but I hope you see through my actions what type of person I really am.
